Before I began my spiritual journey, I was miserable.
I spent most of my time waiting—waiting to be happy, waiting to feel loved, waiting to finally find my place in the world. I thought that if I was patient enough, good things would eventually find me. But underneath that waiting was a deep sense of powerlessness. I didn’t realize it at the time, but I was outsourcing my happiness to circumstances I had no control over. And it left me stuck.
It wasn’t until I began exploring spirituality in my early twenties that I came across the concept of manifestation. At first, it felt like this shiny, magical solution to everything I had been missing. I made vision boards, I journaled, I said my affirmations out loud every morning. But nothing changed.
That’s when I learned the hard truth: manifestation isn’t magic—it’s embodiment.
What Manifestation Is Not
So many people hear the word “manifestation” and immediately write it off as new-age nonsense. And honestly, I get it. It’s been watered down by pop culture and turned into something that looks a lot like wishful thinking.
Let’s clear the air on what manifestation is not:
It’s not wishing hard enough until something magical happens.
It’s not working yourself into the ground to force an outcome.
It’s not waiting for the “right time” or “perfect opportunity.”
It’s not taking impulsive risks without a clear purpose or plan.
And it’s definitely not sitting on your couch, visualizing your dream life while avoiding the actions that would actually get you there.
Wishful thinking without action is spiritual avoidance.
Thinking, wishing, and waiting is easy. Taking action is where the real work begins.
Why? Because action forces you to face the discomfort, fear, and limiting beliefs that have kept you stuck. Avoiding action is avoiding the very transformation your soul is asking for.
Manifestation Is Alignment in Action
At its core, manifestation is about alignment—aligning your thoughts, beliefs, energy, and actions with the life you want to create. It’s not about getting what you want. It’s about becoming who you need to be to receive it.
If you were to break it down into a simple formula, it would look like this: Thoughts → Beliefs → Actions → Reality
You can journal every day. You can recite affirmations until you’re blue in the face. But if your actions don’t change, your life won’t either.
We act based on what we believe. If you believe you’re unsupported, unworthy, or doomed to fail, you’ll subconsciously sabotage any opportunity that challenges that belief. Your brain is wired to keep you safe—and “safe” often means “familiar,” even if the familiar is painful.
If you want to change your reality, you have to change your behavior. And to change your behavior, you have to challenge your belief system.
Embodiment Is the Key
When I finally began to see real shifts in my life, it wasn’t because I “manifested harder.” It was because I started embodying the version of me who already had the life I wanted.
That meant showing up even when I was afraid. It meant saying no to what didn’t serve me, even when it was uncomfortable. It meant taking risks, creating boundaries, changing habits, and staying consistent with the energy I wanted to live in.
Manifestation is about acting as if you already are the person who has what you desire—not pretending, not forcing, but embodying. The more you embody those choices, the more they become second nature. And the more your reality begins to reflect the new you.
Faith Is an Action
One of the biggest turning points in my journey was understanding that faith isn’t a feeling—it’s an action.
You don’t need to feel 100% certain all the time. In fact, you probably won’t. But faith asks you to act as if you’re worthy, capable, and supported—even when your old story says otherwise.
The universe will meet you at the level of your embodiment, not your wishful thinking.
Final Thoughts
Today, my life looks radically different. I’m married to the love of my life. I run a business that deeply fulfills me and supports my lifestyle. My mental and physical health are thriving. Overall, I’ve created a reality that once felt impossible—not because I wished hard enough, but because I stopped waiting for the universe to prove I was worthy, and started acting like I already was.
Manifestation isn’t about waiting for signs. It’s about becoming the sign.
It’s not about being perfect or never having doubts. It’s about showing up anyway.
So ask yourself: What would the version of me who already has everything I desire do today? And then—do that. Again and again. That’s where the magic really begins.
If this message resonated with you and you're feeling called to go deeper into this work, I’m hosting a live workshop on Friday, April 25th at 6PM CT called “The Secret to Manifesting”.
We’ll spend 90 minutes together unpacking exactly how to embody the energy of the life you desire, so you can stop waiting, and start becoming.
You’ll walk away with insight, tools, and grounded practices you can carry forward on your journey. Replay included if you can’t attend live.
You can find all the details and reserve your spot here: https://events.humanitix.com/the-secret-to-manifesting
Whether you attend the workshop or not, just know this: The life you desire and deserve is on the other side of the action you fear taking.
You are more powerful and capable than you think.
